The Word of Grace
Lessons from the Life of Noah/Pastor Femi Paul/Interactive Sunday Service
Pastor Femi Paul brought us God's Word titled "Lessons from the Life of Noah," drawing our attention to a man who stood out in a generation where wickedness had become the norm. Genesis 6 records the striking words, "But Noah was different. God liked what He saw in Noah." What made Noah different? He walked steadily with God, lived with integrity, pleased God, and obeyed all that God commanded him. PFP emphasised the lesson of complete obedience: no personal opinion, no argument. Noah allowed God to shut him into the Ark when instructed, remained there without rushing ahead, and only stepped out when God told him to. His life challenges us to trust God's instructions even when they involve waiting, confinement, inconvenience, or a process we do not fully understand. When Noah finally left the Ark, his first response was worship. He built an altar to God, and what followed was a fresh blessing over Noah and his family: "Prosper! Reproduce! Fill the Earth!" The message showed us that walking with God, complete obedience, patience, and worship are never wasted. Noah entered the Ark following God's instructions and emerged into an inheritance greater than what existed before the flood. PFP left us with a remarkable contrast: Adam had the Garden of Eden, but Noah ended up inheriting the whole earth. The lesson is compelling: when we walk with God and obey Him completely, we can trust Him with both the confinement and the enlargement that follow. Confession: Lord, I choose to walk steadily with You and to live a life that is pleasing in Your sight. Give me the grace to obey You completely, without argument or allowing my opinions to override Your instructions. Teach me to wait when You say wait, move when You say move, and worship You through every season. As I walk with You in obedience, lead me into every blessing and enlargement You have prepared for my life. Amen.
