Episode 13: The Random and Absurd Nature of Death | TheTomsters Show

  Aug 19, 202647 minS1

Death is an inescapable consequence of life. Yet, death’s impact is devastating. Or at least sometimes it is. I’ve recently been fascinated (and humbled) by the facts of death: it is inevitable, and it is random. While reason and death can be close partners, they can also be complete strangers. In this episode (filmed and recorded a couple of weeks prior to its release because life has been especially wtf for your boy), I think out loud about death, its nature, and its impact on us all.

Episode 12: Confessions Court: DATING (Are men okay??) | TheTomsters Show

  Jul 22, 202654 minS1

Dating can too often feel like some sort of social torture experiment, which (silver-ish lining) produces a heap of personal stories, from good to bad to horrific. I chose dating to be the focus of the first edition of Confessions Court, a new segment on TheTomsters Show where I read your submitted confessions (and Reddit posts) and rule whether the players in the stories are guilty or not guilty of crimes against common sense and decency. Follow along this episode’s fair share of dating disasters, make rulings of your own, and cringe and gasp at the behaviors of people who, unfortunately, also call this planet home. All of this and more on this episode of TheTomsters Show.

Episode 11: All about goodbyes (and why the hardest ones are actually a good thing) | TheTomsters Show

  Jul 15, 202641 minS1

Goodbyes are a part of the human experience. Some goodbyes are hard, like having the final conversation with a passing loved one. Some goodbyes are easier, like breaking up with a loser ex. And some goodbyes, maybe most goodbyes, are somewhere in between. In today's episode, we discuss them all. I share my hardest goodbyes, why hard goodbyes are signs of real love, I cry a little (oop), and add a little history lesson about common sayings about goodbyes. As always, thanks for listening.

Episode 10: Why I’m happy Taylor Swift had the wedding she wanted (as someone who didn’t) | TheTomsters Show

  Jul 8, 202633 minS1

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were recently married, and everyone has opinions on the matter, from the venue to the decor to the guest list. Many people have a long list of criticisms for the Swift and Kelce celebration, but you know what: I’m happy they had the wedding they wanted. In this episode, I share my own wedding experience, which was very Mormon and very traditional and very much not a version of the day I would have picked if I had more of a choice (a day that should be, in my opinion, all about the happy couple and what they want to do). All of this and more on this episode of TheTomsters Show.
