Sam Sanders Refuses To Rush
** Programming note: We will be taking a break after today’s episode. We don’t know when we’ll be back exactly, but we will do another run of 10 or so episodes when we do! ** We are so happy to be joined today by the one and only, Sam Sanders. Sam is an award-winning reporter, radio host, and podcaster. He is the host and executive producer of “ The Sam Sanders Show ” in conjunction with KCRW, distributed nationally as a radio show by PRX. We hear Sam’s thoughts on his work in podcasting today — as compared to 10 years ago when he launched “The NPR Politics Podcast” — and what the next 10 years might look like. “Survival is success,” Sam recently shared in an interview with Forbes reflecting on a career that has steadily earned him more control over his content. Over a decade later, that control has now taught him the value of quieting the sense of urgency and perfectionism that animates so many young careers in media, and instead to be someone who is wholly reliable.
