The Art of Choosing It All: From Heartbreak to Creative Heaven with Coach Anna K. Morris
What do you do when life feels like too much? How do you stay connected to your artistry when grief, uncertainty, loss, and the sheer weight of being human come knocking? And what if your creativity isn’t something you need to protect from the difficult parts of life, but one of the very things that can help carry you through them? In this deeply moving episode of Thriving Artists: The Daily Joyride , I sit down with coach and consultant Anna K. Morris for a conversation about feeling it ALL and discovering the agency, freedom, and even joy available when we stop resisting what is already here. Anna shares her journey from abandoning early dreams of performing in order to belong, to moving to New York at 21 and living through 9/11, to eventually finding her way back to herself through transformational work, embodiment, intuition, and art. We also venture into profoundly personal territory as Anna shares the loss of her mother to stage-four pancreatic cancer, navigating her father’s Alzheimer’s and stage-four bladder cancer, and what grief has taught her about acceptance, resilience, creativity, and choosing life exactly as it is. This conversation isn’t about pretending everything is wonderful. It’s about discovering how much life becomes available when we stop fighting what’s here. Feel it. Tell the truth. Create from there. That, my friends, is where freedom begins. CONNECT WITH ANNA K. MORRIS Instagram: @iamannakmorris Work with Anna: Anna K.
