Episode #25
The Vineyard Vitalis - Pastries and Planning
After the incident following Malady’s appearance, our friends found themselves trying to regain their composure and figure out his motives. As far as Rig could tell, this was merely one of his standard antics, popping in to shake things up and rattle everyone for his own amusement. Cereius, as he continued to cast the Raise Dead spell, saw visions, not only of Attros walking in on Malady having a meeting with Agatha and Alma, but ventured into a dream-like world that existed far out of the ordinary material plane. While there, he saw scriptures and remains of an old civilization, warriors with bluish skin and demon-like horns that moved like shadows. As he ventured further in, he could hear the voice of his beloved Valencia, and her warmth wrapped around him as he got closer. However, the moment was short-lived as a great cloud of darkness called a Dream Eater came from behind and ensnared her in chains as she pushed him away, and he woke up to Rig standing beside him. Exhausted, the group deliberated on their next plan of attack now that it seemed that the element of surprise may be lost. Rig also realized that Malady had snatched away the concentrated elixir of Blight Fiend from her. They could only speculate what his use for it was. So for now, they rested until they woke and headed into town to get the wolf totem from Melons, down at the Devil’s in the Details. Afterwards, the group decided to head to get breakfast at the Murky Armadillo, run by a Red Panda named Sen. But before that, Minnow was able to inform Kyver of a specialist named Lucy, a crazy spore druid who is a mushroom farmer out in the Hydra's Ward of Nymora with her skeletal pet rat, Fester. After a strange interaction, Kyver somehow purchased a young mantaker mushroom plant from Lucy along with a few antitoxin mushrooms. So now, as they continue their journey this morning for a fulfilling breakfast, they are accompanied by a telepathic, flesh-eating mushroom jellyfish named Audrey 3.
