80 – Be the Person You Want Your Kids to Become w/ Matt Beaudreau
The real question isn’t just: “How do I raise good kids?” It’s: “Who do I want my children to become?” And then comes the harder question: Am I willing to become that person first? Matt Beaudreau has spent two decades in education working with young people and families, and his argument is brutally simple: Our kids don’t need another version of “do as I say, not as I do.” They need adults willing to examine their own psychology, health, marriage, finances, faith, habits, standards, relationships and distractions — and actually live the things they want their children to inherit. We get into raising leaders, creating intentional environments, teaching self-discipline instead of control, directing masculine energy instead of crushing it, and why “they’ll probably turn out fine” isn’t good enough. Because eventually our kids see the gap between what we preach and how we live. And hypocrisy doesn’t raise strong men and women. Example does.
