I'm Rebuilding the Business I Already Closed
I closed a business on the Las Vegas Strip. Nobody betrayed me. Nobody stole from me. It died from bookkeeping, and that's the more useful story.I opened Cashavelli Studios so I could learn how to become a recording artist and own a record label. I figured the fastest way to learn was to build the room and stand in it every day. What I didn't understand until years later is that I hadn't built a recording studio. I'd built five businesses in one room โ a studio, a media company, a learning platform, a private network, and a place where entrepreneurs and creators could say how they actually felt out loud.I'm building all five of those things right now. No lease. This video is the honest version of why it closed. Not the version where somebody did me wrong. The version with the list on it: the conversations that should have been on paper, the digital assets I never organized, the bookkeeping, the accounting, the workflows that lived in my head, and the culture I didn't protect fast enough. And the thing that building taught me about the difference between the player and the house.
