Today's guest is filmmaker, entrepreneur and global storyteller Carrie Patsalis, Founder of Mad Cat Media. After more than two decades in television and production, Carrie turned her skills and passion for travel into a global platform—taking audiences beyond the headlines to discover the people, cultures and stories behind some of the world's most misunderstood places.Carrie is a former TV producer turned digital content creator, filmmaker and travel vlogger. She runs Mad Cat Media Ltd, a UK-based production company creating films, animation and digital content for organisations and major brands across a range of industries.Alongside her corporate work, Carrie has built a large online audience through her independent travel films, exploring places that are often misunderstood, overlooked or rarely seen through the eyes of ordinary travellers. Her work has taken her across countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Iran and Ethopia, with a particular focus on human stories, culture and challenging assumptions about places that are usually presented through headlines alone.Combining more than two decades of professional production experience with the immediacy of social media, Carrie creates thoughtful, accessible films that aim to make complicated places feel more human — while encouraging audiences to stay curious, question perceptions and look beyond the obvious. Today we're talking about courage, reinvention, the creator economy and using our power to lift others. Get ready to be inspired.
