Words for Life: The Self You Stopped Defending
You're not burned out from doing too much. You're exhausted from defending a version of yourself that no longer fits. This episode explores the hidden cost of maintaining that identity and what it actually means to release it. Reflection Questions What identity label have you been carrying the longest, and when did you actually choose it? Where do you notice yourself working to maintain a particular version of yourself for an audience? What behaviour would you quietly stop if you no longer needed to protect that identity? What do you believe would be lost if people stopped seeing you through that label? Is that belief still accurate? If you stopped defending this version of yourself for one week, not erasing it, just stopped defending it, what would become possible?
