Aug 11, 202656 minS1
Send us Fan Mail Nobody trains you to lead. Jen Heemstra found that out the hard way, then wrote the book on it. She became a chemist by accident. Almost went to law school. That's the moment she found her purpose. In this episode you'll hear: How a night job in a stockroom turned into an entire career What a toxic job does to your confidence, and how she got hers back The tenure vote that should have ended her, and the leader who changed everything in one afternoon The one question from her husband that finally got the book written How she defines success now, and why kindness is the whole point Chapters: 00:00 The plan, and a mother's advice 03:30 Changing majors and a year of exploring 07:00 Becoming a chemist by accident 23:00 The industry job 30:00 How a bad job shook her confidence 39:00 The tenure vote 41:00 The afternoon that pointed her to leadership 48:00 Writing the book 52:30 How she defines success Jen's book, Labwork to Leadership: A Concise Guide to Thriving in the Science Job You Were Not Trained For : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0674258630 Build a career that fuels the life you want: nextsuccesscareers.com Support the show Subscribe to Your Next Success so you never miss an episode. Send us Fan Mail From Nice to Kind | Deidre Beacham on Nice Girl Syndrome, People Pleasing, and Radical Self-Ownership Nice girl syndrome is one of the most invisible programs a woman can run, and Deidre Beacham ran it for decades before a single conversation finally made her see it. By her 50s she had lived through more than most people face in a lifetime. And still, standing in front of her stepfather when he told her she was not being nice, she felt herself shrink. Everything she had built, everything she had survived, and that one word still had power over her. That moment became the beginning of everything she now teaches. You will hear: The difference between being nice and being kind and why it changes everything How nice girl training runs like a program you never agreed to install What she discovered about herself that decades of therapy had never uncovered How she moved from needing outside validation to protecting herself from within What a lifetime of seeking approval actually costs and how to stop paying it What authentic success looks and feels like when you finally stop performing Connect with Deidre and take the Nice Girl Index at deidrebeacham.com Work with Caroline: nextsuccesscareers.com Support the show Subscribe to Your Next Success so you never miss an episode. Send us Fan Mail Find Yourself | Alex Dumas on Identity, Belonging, and Coming Back to Who You Are Finding yourself after years of performing, surviving, and building from the outside in is the real work underneath every career story, and Alex Dumas traces his own path back with rare honesty. He grew up feeling out of step, performing for the laugh to keep people at arm's length, carrying a verdict about himself he made at age six. Then someone saw him, really saw him, and he wanted, for the first time, to be worth seeing. What followed was love, loss, and a slow becoming that eventually led him back to himself. You will hear: What it costs to carry a verdict about yourself that you made before you knew any better How love became the catalyst that started his real becoming How he moved through the hardest season of his life and kept going anyway The moment something buried inside him came roaring back What authentic success actually looks and feels like on the other side Connect with Alex and access his gift for listeners at talk.ac/alexdumas?code=PODCAST Work with Caroline: nextsuccesscareers.com Support the show Subscribe to Your Next Success so you never miss an episode. Send us Fan Mail Who Are You Without the Title? | Michele Novack Career reinvention after corporate is rarely just about finding the next job. Michele Novack invested 30 years in banking and finance building her identity from the outside in, and eventually had to rebuild it from the inside out. Her arc moves from a Yonkers childhood marked by early trauma, through single motherhood and night school, to VP roles at Bank of America and Capital One, to founding CardinalsByte, her cybersecurity risk management firm for small businesses, entirely from the ground up. You will hear: How a career becomes an identity, and what happens when that identity is gone The mirror practice Michele returns to when she needs to reconnect with herself How forgiveness, including forgiving herself, became the foundation of her reinvention Why she built her firm entirely through referrals and real relationships What small businesses actually need to know about cybersecurity compliance What authentic success looks like when a three-year-old grandson is part of the picture Connect with Michele: Free cybersecurity assessment at cardinalsbytes.com/contact-us Work with Caroline: nextsuccesscareers.com Support the show Subscribe to Your Next Success so you never miss an episode. Send us Fan Mail Money Mindset, the Enneagram, and Why Your Financial Patterns Go Deeper Than Money, With Doug Lynam Money mindset work rarely begins with a monastery in the New Mexico desert, but Doug Lynam's story does, and that is precisely what makes his insights so hard to forget. Doug is a former Benedictine monk, Marine Corps Officer Candidate, bestselling author, and financial advisor who built his practice around a single conviction: the way you handle money has almost nothing to do with math and everything to do with the wounds you have been carrying since childhood. In this conversation, he traces his own path from a home where money was weaponized in a bitter divorce, through two decades of monastic life, through a monastery bankruptcy he helped reverse, and into the world of wealth management. Along the way, he developed the framework that now anchors his books, his TEDx talk, and his work with clients: the money monster map. You will hear: How growing up in an affluent home where money was used as a tool of control shaped the origin of Doug's own money monster Why taking a vow of poverty led him directly into the most intense financial education of his life What the Enneagram actually is, and how Doug combined it with Attachment Theory to identify 18 distinct money patterns Why capable, intelligent people keep repeating the same financial self-sabotage, and what actually breaks the cycle How the pain of staying in the monastery finally outweighed the pain of leaving everything behind after 20 years What authentic success looks like after that many complete reinventions Connect with Doug: Visit douglynam.com to explore his books, TEDx talk, coaching, and speaking work. Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
