Edward Leonard O'Neill, born on April 12, 1946, is an American actor, comedian, and former football player. Over the course of his career, he has received four Screen Actors Guild Awards and has been nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. O'Neill gained widespread recognition in the late 1980s for his role as the working-class father Al Bundy on the Fox sitcom Married... with Children, which aired from 1987 to 1997. His portrayal earned him two Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series. In the 2010s, O'Neill experienced a career resurgence with his role as the family patriarch Jay Pritchett on the ABC sitcom Modern Family, which ran from 2009 to 2020. His performance in this series earned him three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series and contributed to the ensemble’s multiple Screen Actors Guild Award victories. In addition to television, O'Neill has appeared in numerous films, making his debut in William Friedkin's crime thriller Cruising in 1980. Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
