About Jagmeet
Jagmeet Singh Jimmy Dhaliwal is a Canadian politician and lawyer known for serving as the leader of the New Democratic Party from 2017 to 2025. He was also a member of Parliament for Burnaby South from 2019 to 2025 and previously served as a Member of Provincial Parliament for Bramalea;Gore;Malton. Singh is a Canadian-born practising Sikh of Punjabi descent, notable for being the first non-white politician to lead a major federal political party in Canada. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and worked as a criminal defence lawyer before entering politics, founding a law firm with his brother. Singh began his political career in 2011 when he contested the federal election in Bramalea;Gore;Malton, narrowly losing to a Conservative opponent. Later that year, he was elected to the Ontario Legislative Assembly. He served as deputy leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party under Andrea Horwath until 2017, when he was elected leader of the federal NDP. His leadership marked significant milestones, including his status as the first person of a visible minority to lead a major Canadian federal party on a permanent basis. Singh identifies as a progressive and a social democrat. Under his leadership, the NDP participated in a confidence and supply agreement with the Liberal government in 2022, which resulted in the enactment of national programs. However, the party's performance declined in subsequent elections, culminating in a significant defeat in 2025, after which Singh announced his resignation. He was succeeded by interim leader Don Davies and prospective leader Avi Lewis, with a leadership election scheduled for 2026.

What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
