About Robert

Robert Archibald Shaw (9 August 1927 – 28 August 1978) was an English actor and writer. He began his career in theatre, joining the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre after the Second World War and performing in productions of Shakespeare plays such as Macbeth, Henry VIII, and Cymbeline. He also worked with the Old Vic company during 1951-52, where he mainly played Shakespearean roles. In 1959, Shaw starred in a West End production of The Long and the Short and the Tall. His film career was marked by notable performances including a role as Henry VIII in A Man for All Seasons, which earned him nominations for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. He also appeared as Doyle Lonnegan in The Sting, Quint in Jaws, and had roles in several other films including From Russia with Love, Battle of Britain, Young Winston, The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, Robin and Marian, Black Sunday, and The Deep. In addition to his acting career, Shaw was an accomplished writer, winning the 1962 Hawthornden Prize for his novel The Sun Doctor. His novel and play The Man in the Glass Booth achieved international success, earning Shaw a Tony Award nomination for Best Play and being adapted into a film in 1975.

A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.

Do you offer a free trial?

Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.

What happens if I cancel?
